The safety of our guests and employees is our number one priority and we would like to re-assure you that measures are in place to provide a clean, safe and welcoming environment in our hotel. Find out more about some of the measures in place:

Update – 3rd November 2020

We will be remaining open for guests travelling for guests travelling for work purposes and for other guests allowed to travel within government guidelines from Wednesday 4th November – Thursday 3rd December. Our bar & restaurant will be closed however we will be able to offer room service.

It is with heavy heart that we are unable to accept guests travel for leisure and our bar & restaurant will be closed until 3rd December.

If you have a booking with us during this time, we will be in touch with you in the coming days if your booking is affected.


Update  – 16th October 2020

Inline with new government restrictions, our hotel is within Cheshire East which comes under the Tier 2 Category. We are still open as usual and welcome guests to the hotel however we do have to follow some additional policies as set out below.

  • Tables are limited to one household per table indoors, or the national rule of six applies to tables outdoors
  • Our weddings are still allowed to take place following the national restrictions on numbers of 15
  • Our bar & restaurant is open throughout the day & evening with table service only and will close at 10pm, however residents can order room service after this time
  • Bedrooms are restricted to one household, by booking a room at the hotel you are agreeing to this policy. Should you have a room booked already for guests one more than one household, please contact our reservations team on 01565 831 000 who will advise on preferential rates on additional rooms.
  • Face coverings are now mandatory by law in public areas of the hotel including when not seated in our bar & restaurant. They can be removed when seated at your table.

In addition to the above policies we are continuing with the following;

  • Distancing measures have been implemented at reception with floor stickers and signage advising guests where to stand at a safe distance from each other. We have also implemented a strict rule that two individuals and family are allowed in the lift at any one time, this is signposted on all floors.
  • Online check-in and check-out process available – Perspex screens have been placed on the reception desk and debit/credit card machines are cleaned after every use. Key cards drop point at reception where all keys are sanitised after every use.
  • Hand sanitising stations – multiple stations have been placed in all main areas of the hotel for guests to utilise. All high touch points are sanitised after every guest interaction or every hour depending on the usage including door handles, debit/credit card machines and pens.
  • Accommodation – There will be increased cleanliness of bedrooms before arrival/after departure of guests. This includes disinfecting all touchpoints within the bedroom, all non-essential items have been removed from the bedrooms and are available on request and for guests staying more than one night, housekeeping services have been reduced to minimise interaction of guests and employees but will be available on request.
  • Room service and grab and go breakfast offerings – Room service and a grab and go breakfast will be available, this service can be ordered via the phone and guests will be provided with a collection time along with the designated collection point information. All utensils provided will be disposable and food handling will be kept to a minimum.

Safety of our guests and employees is our number one priority – Our employees have been fully equipped with the necessary PPE equipment to keep them and our guests safe. Our employees have also been trained on maintaining a high standard of hygiene including hand sanitising after each interaction with a guest, rigorous cleaning procedures before and after each shift change and regular cleanliness upkeep within high traffic areas of the hotel. They have also been trained how to handle any suspected cases of COVID-19 within the hotel and how to keep guests safe if this did occur.
