Mere Court was formerly an Edwardian house
built in 1903 as a wedding present for William & Amy Dunkerley, and
maintained as the family home. It is now a fine country house hotel,
standing in 7 acres of mature gardens.
The main house with its historic past has been lovingly and skillfully
restored, with many of the original features still evident. It now offers
a choice of magnificently furnished bedrooms, all individually and
luxuriously designed, enjoying wonderful views over the private lake or
grounds.
The Arboreum Restaurant, with its wealth of beams, open fire and oak
paneling, is truly an unforgettable dining experience.
The original coach house located in the grounds has recently been
sympathetically restored, and now offers state of the art conference
facilities in tranquil settings and surroundings.
